More about the book...

Introducing Louie the naughty cat in Meng's newest beginning reader book, Now, Louie! Readers tag along with a grey and white cat named Louie as he does exactly the opposite of what he is told to do - making a bigger and bigger mess of himself in the process. Bold, humorous illustrations bring Louie's rebellious charm to life. A simple and funny plotline pulls readers, young and old, to a clever finish.

Now, Louie! is Oakland-based Alligator Boogaloo's second children's literature title and is Meng's first picture book. Now, Louie! is available in book form from Amazon.com.

Cute, simple

:
A very cute, simple story with a perfect ending for little ones. And it's free! There are some words in the story that seem a bit odd for beginning readers -- such as "Wah" and "Ay ay ay" and "maniac." But it's funny and sure to amuse them, and the illustrations are great. Only one complaint: My kids are so used to sliding their fingers to flick through photos, etc, that the "tap" to turn the pages forward or back confused them (and me!)... It would work better if the action for turning pages followed what's standard elsewhere on the phone -- tapping for opening or selecting, flicking/sliding for scrolling through images/content.
